I’m preparing a camping list for when I go with some friends in two weeks and we’re bringing the horses.The barn owner is bringing the grain,hay,buckets,and the supplements the horses need.We’re also splitting who’s bringing what food.So here’s my list:
Horses supplies.I’m bring more than one of most things in case something breaks.
-Liniment
-All four sport boots
-Both bell boots
-Fly spray
-Fly bonnet
-Fly sheet
-2 bridles
-2 sets of reins
-2 girths
-Western saddle
-2 breast collars
-western saddle pad
-2 halters
-4 lead ropes
-Antibiotic ointment
-vet wrap
-grooming kit
My stuff:
-Jeans
-T-shirts
-Sweatshirts
-Toiletries
-Windbreaker
-Tennis Shoes
-Riding boots
-Flip flops
-Blankets
-Pillow
-Sunscreen
-Bug spray
-socks
-helmet
I don’t think blankets will be necessary for the horses since even at night it in the low 70s where we’re going.Thanks for reminding me about the first aid kit,the water we’re going to put in our saddle bags,and for the horses there are plenty of springs and creeks on the trails for them to drink from.I used to live close to where we’re going so I have vet and farrier numbers.Its a 2 hour drive where we’re going and the place provides the sawdust.
We’re only going for 3 days next year we’re going to try and go for a week.
